Nicole Howell represents individuals and corporations in state and federal courts, and is experienced in both civil and criminal matters.  Before joining Clarence & Dyer, Ms. Howell was an associate with Farella Braun + Martel's Business Litigation and White Collar Crime practice.  During law school, she served as an extern at the San Francisco Office of the Public Defender, where she represented clients in felony preliminary hearings and motions and assisted in felony trials.  She also served as an intern at the San Francisco County Sheriff's Department Prisoner Legal Services office. 

Ms. Howell received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.   There, she received Witkin Awards for Academic Excellence in Legal Writing and Research, Trial Advocacy and Criminal Practice Clinic.  In addition, Ms. Howell was Symposium Editor for the Constitutional Law Quarterly and a member of the U.C. Hastings Trial Team, with which she continues to be active as both a mentor and coach.
